A new Note card looks like the example in the box to the right. All the fields have a ? you can click for help.
1. Title: Each note card needs a unique Title to help you remember what the notes are about.
Example: Background- issue history
2. Source: The Source will be automatically filled in if you created your card form the Notecards column on the Source page. If the source is empty, you will need to fill it in from the drop down menu.
3. Page #: Enter Page numbers for sources with page numbers.
4. Save and Close: once saved and closed the card can be edited from the Sources or the Notecards page
There are three boxes for different kinds of notes (each is like a mini -Word processor with highlighting, bulleting, etc.):
Box #1: Direct quotes - Copy and paste here directly from source
Box #2: Paraphrase or summary- Write it in your own words here
Box #3: Ideas- Notes to yourself, questions, ideas can go here
