Research purpose: You will gather information on your topic to connect it in a meaningful way to at least one of the texts read for class-- Purple Hibiscus, 1984, Much Ado About Nothing, Frankenstein, or Hamlet. You will create an arguable thesis statement and include additional information and support from four secondary sources in a written paper.
Paper requirements:
- 6-8 pages of text, plus a Works Cited page in MLA format
- proper parenthetical citations in MLA format
Secondary source requirements:
- 4 secondary sources
- Scholarly articles from books or library databases
- Credible and current information gathered from experts, such as literary scholars, scientists, journalists, historians, sociologists, psychologists, political scientists, etc. related to the topic to help frame your research
- No use of Wikipedia
