Assignment Overview

Government Project/Paper Assignment Handout 

Research Purpose:

To learn about a topic of interest to you related to our study of U.S. Government. Using your research, you will develop a:

Slide Presentation: minimum of 17 slides 

Paper : 5-6 pages in length

Source Requirements: 

  • Minimum of five sources, maximum of seven:  
    • two must be books
    • nonfiction monographs or special encyclopedias, either print or electronic
    • articles from library databases
  • No general encyclopedias, including Encyclopedia Britannica and Wikipedia.
  • Reliable websites--Internet sources not linked from a libguide need to be approved by your teacher. To obtain approval, email your request to your teacher accompanied by a completed Carlos Library Web Site Evaluation Form.  You will also submit the Evaluation Form with your bibliography.
  • Footnotes and bibliography in proper Chicago/Turabian style.
